About SafeComNet
SafeComNet is Furuno's comprehensive communication service that provides a broadband communication environment between ship and shore using marine satellite communication equipment such as VSAT (ESV) and Inmarsat. In addition to Furuno's existing equipment, SafeComNet offers a full range of services including satellite communication service and worldwide field service.

Worldwide (excluding polar regions), low speed communication
Fleetbroadband

Satellite communication line service, supported antennas
FleetBroadband
With the 4th generation Inmarsat satellites, simultaneous ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore voice calls and data transmissions at up to 432 kbps are available worldwide. ISDN fax and data services are also available.
The service is also used as a back-up for VSAT communications, which are limited in area and vulnerable to weather conditions.
Data transmission fees are charged on a pay-as-you-go basis.

VSAT offers High speed data transmissions that allow you to send and receive emails with attached files and retrieve information from the internet smoothly.
It is often used in tandem with the FleetBroadband service as a back-up due to the limited area of coverage and the susceptibility to weather conditions. Data transmission fees are fixed rates.

Model：FV-110Fleet Xpress
Fleet Xpress is a combined service of Global Xpress and FleetBroadband with high-speed data transmission. This allows you to send and receive e-mails with attachments, and to retrieve information from the Internet, even when Global Xpress is not available due to coverage area limitations or inclement weather. When Global Xpress is not available, the service will automatically switch to FleetBroadband.
Data transmission fees are fixed rates.
